The hydraulic quick hitch lets you swap buckets in seconds without leaving the operator’s seat, saving time, improving safety, and keeping your workflow moving. FAQ

What size mini excavator do I need for my job?

  • Most small landscaping and trenching projects only require a 1.7–2 tonne excavator. For tight-access jobs, a 1–1.7 tonne model is usually ideal. Our CASE 1.7 tonne excavator is just 990mm wide with the tracks retracted, making it perfect for narrow spaces.

How deep can a 1.7 tonne mini excavator dig?

  • A 1.7t excavator, such as the CASE CX17C, can dig to a maximum depth of around 2.2–2.4 metres. Perfect for footings, trenches, and general earthmoving.

What surfaces can I use a mini excavator on?

  • A mini excavator can be used on most firm, stable surfaces such as soil, clay, gravel, and compacted dirt. Avoid using it on soft, boggy ground or freshly laid turf, as the tracks can cause damage or sink. Be aware if you’re using them on driveways or pavers the tracks can leave marks which can typically be cleaned with a high-pressure hose.
